Mr. Frederick F. Klampferer age 92 of Walker died peacefully on Monday February 13, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife Winifred who died in 1997. Surviving are his three children: Fred (Jennie) Klampferer Jr., Theresa (Paul) Dressel, Valarie (Michael) Command, eight grandchildren: Peter (Megin), Matthew (Ann Marie) Dressel, Barbara (Dustin) Weible, Adam, Andrea and Madeline Command, Amber Joy and Andrew Klampferer, five great grandsons: Lucas, Samuel, Noah, Isaac & Joseph Dressel, in-laws Stewart, MaryEllen and Doris Siegel, many nieces, nephews and their families, his dear friend Josephine Hikade and her family, also many special friends and caregivers. Fred was an avid hunter, fisherman, fruit and vegetable farmer, and loved the outdoors, He shared the bounty of his harvest with family and friends. Fred was a beloved father, grandfather and friend, his presence will be missed. A Mass of Christian Burial and Committal Service will be celebrated Saturday 12 Noon at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Grand Rapids where he will repose one hour prior. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance NW where a Vigil Service will be held Friday 7 pm. Memorial contributions to St. Mary's Church or St. Ann's Home will be appreciated. Fred's family wishes to thank the staff and caregivers at St. Ann's Home for their love and compassion.
